News and Notes from PolicyViz - Issue #16 - Members
Hi all,
I hope you're well and staying healthy and safe. It's been a weird spring here in Northern Virginia. On and off, hot and cold, rainy and dry. It has made for some unpleasant nights behind the plate in my spring umpiring season.
Okay, so here's the thing. I started this paid version of the newsletter in the hope I could help fund a lot of the costs behind the podcast. Unfortunately, there are just not enough subscribers to keep it going, so this will be the last paid newsletter. Sorry about that! I'll close it up this week and make sure your credit cards aren't charged again. If you want to get more sneak-peek-type things for PolicyViz, check out Winno.
Having said that, I'll give you one last piece of juicy news that is not yet public: I have signed a contract on a new book! I'm writing a companion to Better Data Visualizations that will give readers step-by-step tutorials in how to build data visualizations in Excel. If you've taken my Excel workshop or seen my e-book, this will be the better, expanded version. My guess is that it will come out in early 2023, but we'll see how it all goes.
So, thanks for being a paid subscriber! I hope to see you in person soon,
Jon
